6.8 PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN WHEN USING OPTIONAL

EQUIPMENT

The instructions given below must be strictly followed when the hydraulic excavator is fitted with a piece of equip-

ment.

IMPORTANT

Choose the type of equipment that is most suitable to the hydraulic excavator on which it must be in-

stalled.

Use only optional or special equipment recommended and approved by Komatsu and in compliance

with the requirements indicated (see "6.3.2 ATTACHMENT CONFIGURATION").

6.8.1 HYDRAULIC BREAKER

This attachment can be used for a wide range of applications, in-

cluding breaking up of road surfaces or debris, tunnel work, rock

crushing and breaking operations in quarries.

Keep the chisel pushed perpendicularly against the impact sur-

face when carrying out breaking operations.
