6.6.2 FUNCTIONING

At the start-up, the machine performs a self-check and verifies the operation of the buzzer.
In case the buzzer is not functioning properly, contact the Komatsu distributor.
To unlock the bucket or accessory
1 - If the bucket or accessory is hydraulically connected to the machine, before operating, disconnect the hydrau-
lic connections.

The pressure in the system can cause injuries.
2 - Rest the accessory on ground, in a safe position so in such a way that, after being released, it cannot rotate or
slide.
3 - Press the switch (1) to activate the hydraulic circuit.

Pos. A: (LED on), enables the quick coupler activation switch.
This position is indicated by the buzzer sound.

Pos. B: (LED off), disables the quick coupler activation switch.
4 - With switch (1) in position “A“, press and hold the switch (2)
of the right lever to activate the quick coupler.

European safety standards require that is possible to check the locked position of the quick coupler
from the operator's position. Failure to check could cause the death of exposed persons. Check careful-
ly that all the locking of the quick coupler is complete and secure. Follow the manufacturer's instruc-
tions carefully, including the installation of any safety device, if required.

Check daily that the hoses and fittings in the quick coupler piping system are in good condition. Pay
particular attention to the hoses and fittings at the arm end as these can be damaged easily. In case of
damage or leakage of oil stop work. Loss of oil could lead to the bucket or attachment falling and killing
an exposed person. The damage or leakage must be repaired before continuing work.
