66 Matrix ETERNITY Quick Start
• The assigned templates can be changed or customized as required.
When T1E1 port orientation type is Terminal, the Trunk Feature Template assigned to it is of
relevance.
When T1E1 port orientation type is Network, the Station Basic Feature Template and Station
Advanced Feature Template assigned to it are of relevance.
Mobile Port
• The SIM Card subscribed from the GSM/UMTS Service Provider is to be
installed in the Mobile Port.
• Make sure that you are installing the ETERNITY where sufficient network
coverage is available.
Band Selection
• Select the Frequency Band which is used by your Service Provider. In the
default configuration, the Mobile Port is set to operate at 900+1800 MHz. To
change the Band for the Mobile port, click the link ‘Mobile Configuration’.
• Open ‘Mobile Port Parameters’ and configure the ‘Band Selection’ as required.
Network Selection
• Go to ‘Network Selection’ under ‘Mobile Configuration’ to configure the Network
related attributes.
• By default, all Mobile ports are configured to select the network automatically.
The Network Selection Mode is Automatic.
• If the network is to be selected manually, set the ‘Network Selection Mode’ as
Manual. Program the Network Operator code (MCC-MNC) in priorities for the
Mobile Port.
• All Mobile Port attributes are to be configured under ‘Mobile Port Parameters’
and ‘Network Selection’.
• By default, Mobile ports are assigned Trunk Feature Template number 01.
