• If your exchange has provided 'On Demand' type of line, set the Layer-1 Mode
to 'On Demand' for such BRI ports, otherwise the system will consider it as an
un-healthy line and will not allow outgoing calls from those ports.
When BRI port is configured as Terminal, the Trunk Feature Template assigned to it is of
relevance.
When BRI port is configured as Network, the Station Basic Feature Template and Station
Advanced Feature Template assigned to it are of relevance.
Refer ‘ISDN Terminal Parameters’ for configuration of ISDN Terminal interfaced with the BRI Port.
E&M Lines
• By default, E&M Ports are assigned following templates:
• E&M Feature Template - 01
• Trunk Feature Template - 01
• Station Basic Feature Template - 01
• Station Advanced Feature Template - 01
The Station Advance Feature Template and Station Basic Feature Template are of significance
when the E&M Port orientation type is Station. The Trunk Feature Template is of significance when
E&M Port orientation type is Trunk.
• Open ‘E&M Parameters’ under the link ‘E&M Configuration’ to assign a different
template to the E&M Port.
• By default, the Seizure Type for the E&M port is Immediate. To change the
Seizure Type, go to ‘E&M Feature Template’.
• By default the Release Type for the E&M port is ‘Status Change’, To change the
Release Type, go to ‘E&M Feature Template’.
• By default the Orientation Type for the E&M port is Station. To change the
Orientation type, go to ‘E&M Feature Template’.
• By default the Dial Type for the E&M port is Pulse, with Pulse Dial Ratio 10PPS
1:2. You can change the Dial Type to Tone Type, as required on the ‘E&M
Feature Template’.
