for setting
In the bottom line the current setting for the DELTA
mixer flashes.
You can now set a value within the range -100% to
100% in 1% increments using the 3-D digi-adjustor.
Important:
You must set the ELEVATOR travel separately for
each direction of the ELEVATOR stick.
a. Pull the ELEVATOR stick back towards you and
hold it there:
set the elevator travel in the “up” direction.
b. Push the ELEVATOR stick forward and hold it
there:
set the elevator travel in the “down” direction.
A brief press r on the 3-D digi-adjustor concludes the
process. The values are stored.
13.7.3. Changing the default assignment of re-
ceiver output 4 (throttle / speed controller)
Menu: (
MIXER) TH >S4
When you set up a new model, THROTTLE is auto-
matically assigned as the function for servo 4. If this is
what you want, there is no need to make any changes
in this menu.
However, it is also possible to control servo 4 using the
transmitter controls A, E, R, SP or F, or the PH switch.
Please refer to the GLIDER model type (Î 13.11.3.)
for further possible applications.
THROTTLE is operated by the following controls:
the throttle stick modes 1 to 4
the right-hand slider modes 5 to 8
Note: idle trim
Throttle idle trim is always adjusted using the trim but-
ton adjacent to the THROTTLE / SPOILER stick, even
if throttle is assigned to the right-hand slider (modes 5
to 8).
Note: electric power systems
If your model features an electric power system, you
should set the idle trim to absolute minimum, as this
allows you to exploit the full servo travel. Some speed
controllers with power-on guard will not arm them-
selves if the trim is set “too high” (towards full throttle).
13.8. Additional mixer functions
13.8.1. Combi-Switch mixer
Menu: (
MIXER) COMBI
Just like their full-size counterparts, many models -
especially gliders - are only able to fly smooth turns
with co-ordinated use of ailerons and rudder. This is
not easy, especially for the inexperienced pilot. The
combi-switch combines (couples) ailerons and rudder,
making it easier for modellers to fly accurate turns
when making the transition from simple rudder / eleva-
tor models to more demanding “full-house” machines
(aileron / elevator / rudder). Most modellers prefer to
set up the rudder as a “slave” to the aileron control
(“master”), so that the rudder follows the ailerons to a
variable degree (following rate).
If necessary, you can switch the combi-switch mixer on
and off at any time using the “CS/A-ROT” switch
(switch position ON).
You can set the following (mixing) rate in the COMBI
menu. The available range is -200% to 200% in 5%
increments.
The prefix determines the direction of following. In most
cases the model’s rudder deflects when the aileron
stick is operated, i.e. the aileron function is the “mas-
ter”. For this the values must be set with a positive
prefix (+). A following rate of 100% means that full ai-
leron deflection produces full rudder deflection. A fol-
lowing rate of 200% means that full rudder deflection is
achieved when the aileron stick is only at half-travel.

The current percentage figure flashes. You can now
use the 3-D digi-adjustor to set the value within the
range -200% to +200% in 5% increments.
A brief press r on the 3-D digi-adjustor concludes the
process. The value is stored.
13.8.2. Aileron travels and differential
Menu: (
MIXER) AI->AI
In this menu you can set the aileron deflection for both
directions (up / down) separately. This enables you to
set differential aileron travel if you wish.
