16.2.2. Connecting the servos to the receiver
Connect the servos, speed controller and gyro to the
receiver in the sequence stated in the table adjacent to
the schematic rotor head diagrams (Î 16.2.1.).
Important:
The swashplate can only be set up correctly if the ser-
vos are connected to the correct receiver outputs.
So: please check one last time before you proceed!
16.3. Preparing the transmitter
The model memory must be set up for the helicopter
before you can check the directions of servo movement
on the model itself. This involves setting the stick mode
and selecting the appropriate swashplate type.
When preparing the transmitter for the model you will
need to carry out the following steps:
• Setting up a model memory Î 16.3.1.
• Setting the stick mode Î 16.3.2.
• Familiarising yourself with the transmitter
controls (sliders / switches) Î 16.3.3.
• Selecting the rotor head type Î 16.3.4.
• Determining the transmitter control positions
for idle and collective pitch minimum Î16.3.5.
• Setting up Throttle Check Î 16.3.6.
16.3.1. Setting up a new memory
for the HELI type
Menu: (
MEMO) NEW
Moving to the NEW menu:
4 to MENU, r (SETUP appears)
3 to MEMO, r (GEH ZU appears)
3 to NEW, r
The last used model type appears as the default.
Turn the 3-D digi-adjustor (43) to select the “HELI”
model type. Confirm the model type with a brief press
(r); this automatically takes you to the “IN MEM” menu.
