Moving to the Menu EXP menu:
4 to MENU, r (SETUP appears),
3 to CONTRL, r (DR Q appears),
3 to EXP Q, r
The current setting flashes. The example above shows
the EXP setting for EXP Q (AILERON). Use the 3-D
digi-adjustor to select the desired value within the
range 0% to -100% in 10% increments.
A brief press r on the 3-D digi-adjustor concludes the
process. The value is stored.
Note: observing the effect of EXP on the model
EXP does not affect the centre position or end-points of
the control surfaces. If you want to see the effect of this
setting on the model itself, you have to hold the asso-
ciated stick at half-travel.
15.9. Activating flight phases
If you have set up a new ACRO model, flight phase 1 is
always active by default; the other phases (phase 2, 3)
are blocked, and the flight phase change-over switch
(PH) has no effect. This makes the basic settings eas-
ier to carry out and understand.
If you wish to work with switchable flight phases, this is
the procedure:
What is possible with flight phases? Î 15.9.1.
Activating flight phases Î 15.9.2.
Copying flight phase 1 into phases 2
and 3 as the starting point Î 15.9.4.
Setting up flight phases 2 and 3
15.9.1. What is possible with flight phases?
Flight phases 1, 2 and 3 are equal-value phases. You
can freely select which flight phase to use for normal
flying, aerobatics or landing.
When you set up a new model, flight phases 2 and 3
are not activated. Only when you have activated the
flight phases (Î 15.9.2) does the screen display
(Î 15.9.3.) which flight phase can be selected using
the appropriate switches.
In all three flight phases you can set different values for
the following:
Dual-Rate D-R Î 15.8.1.
for AILERON (DR A), ELEVATOR (DR E) and RUD-
DER (DR R)
A -> A mixer
varying differential Î 15.5.2.
Trim for A / E / R
Inputs for free mixers
Fixed values FIX A / E / R
15.9.2. Activating flight phases
Menu: (
SETUP, MODEL) PHASES
If you are setting up a new model we recommend that
you do not
activate flight phase switching initially.
Once the model is functioning as you want it to, you
can activate the flight phases as described below.
Flight phase 1 (source) can now be copied into flight
phase 2 (destination) and then into flight phase 3
(Î 15.9.4.).
This means that you have a model which is set up
identically in all three phases. From this starting point
you can adjust the settings to suit the requirements of
the different phases.
Moving to the PHASES menu:
4 to MENU, r (SETUP appears),
r (MODEL appears), r (MODE appears),
3 to PHASES, r
The current setting for PHASEN flashes in the bottom
line:
0 = flight phase switching disabled
(only flight phase 1 is available)
(PH switch has no effect)
1 = all flight phases are available
Select 0 or 1, then press the 3-D digi-adjustor again
briefly r. The flashing ceases; the selected setting is
now active, and is stored.
