Precautionary measures
Electromedical devices are subject to special precautionary measures concerning
electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). This device is to be used only for the purposes
described in this document and has to be installed, set up, and operated in compliance with
the EMC guidelines.
WARNING
The use of accessories which are not approved by the manufacturer may result in an
increase of electromagnetic emissions and the compliance with the stipulated limit values
are not guaranteed anymore.
WARNING
Portable RF communications equipment (including peripherals such as antenna cables
and external antennas) should be used no closer than 30 cm (12 inches) to any part of
the electrosurgical generator, including cables specied by the manufacturer. Otherwise,
degradation of the performance of this equipment could result.
WARNING
Use of this equipment adjacent to or stacked with other equipment should be avoided
because it could result in improper operation. If such use is necessary, this equipment and
the other equipment should be observed to verify that they are operating normally.
Guidelines and manufacturer’s declaration – electromagnetic emissions
This electrosurgical generator is intended for use in the electromagnetic environment specied below.
The customer or the user of this electrosurgical generator should assure that it is used in such an
environment.

CISPR 11
Group 1 According to the intended purpose this electrosurgical generator
emits electromagnetic energy. Electronic equipment close the
electrosurgical generator may be affected, when HF output is
activated.
In stand-by mode HF energy is used for internal functions only. The
RF emissions are very low. The requirements for group 1 devices
have been tested and passed.

Class A The electrosurgical generator is suitable for use in all
establishments other than domestic, and may be used in domestic
establishments and those directly connected to the public
low-voltage power supply network that supplies buildings used for
domestic purposes, provided the following warning is observed:
WARNING
This electrosurgical generator is intended for use by healthcare
professionals only. This electrosurgical generator may cause radio
interference or may disrupt the operation of nearby equipment. It
may be necessary to take mitigation measures, such as reorienting
or relocating the device or shielding the location.
