5 System settings
This chapter describes the correct operation of the touchscreen and the following basic
settings are explained:
‒ Volume of activation tones
‒ Brightness of the touchscreen
‒ Alarm tones
‒ Touch tone
‒ Language selection
‒ Format for date and time
‒ Selection of monopolar modes
‒ Selection of startup settings
Furthermore, this chapter describes how to handle user-dened procedures and how to
assign foot switches.
5.1 Operation of the touchscreen
Operating the touchscreen
● Only tap one button or pane at a time.
● Only tap the touchscreen from the front. Avoid oblique angles when tapping the
touchscreen.
Do not use pointed objects, e.g. a pen, to tap the touchscreen.
Do not tap the touchscreen unintentionally.
Do not apply excessive loads to the surface of the touchscreen.
Remove dust and dirt by wiping the touchscreen with a cloth.
Operator’s position
‒ The operator of the touchscreen must be in front of the electrosurgical generator.
‒ For parameter settings, the viewing distance must not exceed 50 cm.
‒ For watching the touchscreen, the viewing distance must not exceed 100 cm.
‒ All viewing angles, i.e. left, right, upper, lower angle, must not exceed 70°.

The following basic settings are selected on the [Setup] tab of the [Settings] screen.
