‒ The alarm system with error messages and alarm tones
‒ Troubleshooting topics
‒ Overview of error messages
8.1 Safety notes for use
Maximum output voltage
When connecting instruments, avoid power settings (e.g. mode, effect), where the maximum
output voltage exceeds the allowed peak voltage of the instrument. Refer to the section “7.4
Description of modes” on page 55. Also refer to the instructions for use of the instrument.
One instrument per output socket only
Do not connect more that 1 instrument per output socket.
No bipolar plugs with single connecting pins
If bipolar HF instruments are used that have single connecting pins without a xed pin
spacing, then there is the risk that the single pins are connected accidentally to the incorrect
receptacles. This can result in damage of the electrosurgical generator
Do not connect a 2‑pin plugs with 4 mm pin diameters
Connecting a 2-pin plug with pin diameters of 4 mm (e.g. monopolar forceps with
hand switch activation) to one of the MONOPOLAR output sockets can damage the
electrosurgical generator.
‒
‒ Before the procedure, perform basic testing with the electrosurgical generator.
WARNING
Patient and user injury due to hot tip
The HF instrument’s tip remains hot enough for a few seconds to cause burns after the HF
current is deactivated.
‒ Wait for a few seconds before laying the instrument aside.
