Safe use of neutral electrodes
If the function is set to [ON], then a baby icon is displayed within the CQM indicator.
The selected setting remains, even if the electrosurgical generator is switched off and on
again.
Data transfer of baby neutral electrode setting
The baby neutral electrode setting can be transferred to/from a portable USB ash drive
only within a user-dened procedure. The baby neutral electrode setting is not stored on or
loaded from the USB ash as a single setting, e.g. like the brightness or the touch tone.
When connecting a neutral electrode
If the baby neutral electrode function is set to [ON], then each time a neutral electrode is
plugged to the ESG-410, the message box [Baby neutral electrode is selected] is displayed.
This is to prevent that the warning message regarding excessive current comes up when
working with neutral electrodes that are not for babies.
6.4 Conditions of the CQM indicator

There’s no neutral electrode connected.
Indicator for split type neutral electrodes are green
