Remote control (02_117, 02_118, 02_119, 02_120, 02_121,

The vehicle is equipped with a remote control for using the "Piaggio Keyless" system,
which allows to enable the starter switch without having to insert a mechanical key
into the appropriate key cylinder.
The system performs an authentication between the vehicle and the remote control
to verify that it is a correctly registered electronic key.
The remote control is supplied together with a MASTER key and coupled, in factory,
to the electronic control unit of the system situated inside the front case.
The following functions are available from the remote control:
•
vehicle recognition by flashing the turn indicators (Bike Finder);
•
opening of the fuel tank cap hatch;
•
saddle opening.
These functions are permanently active as long as the remote control is correctly
paired.

THE "PIAGGIO KEYLESS" SYSTEM USES RADIO WAVES. THEREFORE THE
RANGE OF OPERATION MAY VARY OR IT MAY NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY
UNDER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
•
WHEN THE REMOTE CONTROL BATTERY IS LOW;
•
NEAR STRUCTURES THAT GENERATE NOISE OR INTENSE RADIO
WAVES SUCH AS TV ANTENNAS, POWER PLANTS, RADIO STATIONS
OR AIRPORTS;
•
WHEN THE REMOTE CONTROL IS NEAR A NOTEBOOK/PC OR OTHER
WIRELESS COMMUNICATION DEVICES, SUCH AS A RADIO OR MO-
BILE PHONE;
•
WHEN THE REMOTE CONTROL COMES IN CONTACT OR IS COVERED
BY METALLIC OBJECTS.
