To add to the existing Sample Pad feature that lets you use the pads to play the samples you’ve recorded, the FANTOM lets you bring in
sampled sounds as waves that you can use to create tones and play those sounds in dierent pitches across the keyboard, or assign multiple
waves to the keyboard (using the multisample function).
User Sample
Data that you sample on this unit or import as audio les is called user samples”. There are two kinds of user samples: “Pad” samples and “Kbd”
(keyboard) samples.
Pad Sample
Pad samples are eective for playing long phrases, adding sound eects and so on.
Kbd Sample
Kbd samples are eective for playing samples back in dierent pitches using the keyboard. Samples are treated as tone oscillators.
Multisample
Multisamples combine multiple waves, treating them as one sound.
