Saving or Restoring Configuration Settings
Configuration settings can be uploaded and downloaded to and from a
TFTP server. The configuration file can be later downloaded to restore
switch settings.
The configuration file can be downloaded under a new file name and then
set as the startup file, or the current startup configuration file can be
specified as the destination file to directly replace it. Note that the file
“Factory_Default_Config.cfg” can be copied to the TFTP server, but
cannot be used as the destination on the switch.
copy
This command moves (upload/download) a code image or configuration
file between the switch’s flash memory and a TFTP server. When you save
the system code or configuration settings to a file on a TFTP server, that
file can later be downloaded to the switch to restore system operation. The
success of the file transfer depends on the accessibility of the TFTP server
and the quality of the network connection.
Syntax
copy file {file | running-config | startup-config | tftp | unit}
copy running-config {file | startup-config | tftp}
copy startup-config {file | running-config | tftp}
copy tftp {file | running-config | startup-config |
https-certificate | public-key}
