8-10 CHASSIS
• Connect the speedometer cable 3.

• Set the speedometer gearbox 4 as shown.
• Tighten the front axle 2 to the specified torque.
 09900-18710: Hexagon socket (12 mm)
 Front axle: 65 N·m (6.5 kgf-m, 47.0 lbf-ft)
• Tighten the front axle pinch bolt 5 to the specified torque.
 Front axle pinch bolt: 23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m, 16.5 lbf-ft)
NOTE:
* Before tightening the front axle pinch bolt, move the front fork
up and down four or five times.
* After installing the front wheel, pump the brake lever a few
times to check for proper brake operation.
Tighten the speedometer cable nut firmly.
