• Remove the valve cotters 3 from the valve stem.
 09916-84511: Tweezer
• Remove the valve spring retainer 4 and valve spring 5.
• Remove the valve 6 from the combustion chamber side.
• Remove the valve stem seal 7.
• Remove the valve spring seat 8.
NOTE:
Remove the intake valve in the same manner.
CYLINDER HEAD DISTORTION
Decarbonize the combustion chamber.
Check the gasket surface of the cylinder head for distortion
using a straightedge and thickness gauge. Take clearance read-
ings at several places. If readings exceed the service limit,
replace the cylinder head.

Service Limit: 0.05 mm (0.002 in)
