27.2.3 BCD Cables
BCD cables provide a means to map the tuned frequency of the radio to a 4 or 5 bit Binary Coded
Decimal output representing specific bands.
The BCD signal that appears on the cable is configured by use of the controls in the USB Cables menu:
Source - Determines which source is used as the frequency check. The sources are the same
as for the CAT cables, listed above.
Type Specifies which of several available BCD mappings are generated by the cable:
o HF_BCD - Yaesu/Elecraft BCD band output
o VHF_BCD - Similar to HF_BCD but for VHF and higher bands
o HF_VHF_BCD - Combined HF and VHF output
