SEAT BELT AND ROPS
A WARNING: Always use the seat belt
.a
with a ROPS installed. Do not use a seat
belt
if
the tractor
is
not equipped with a ROPS.
To lengthen
the
belt, tip the buckle away from lhe
belt and pull on
the
buckle. With the belt fastened
around
you,
pull the free end of the belt until it is a
snug
fit.
1be belt may
be
sponged with clean, soapy water.
Do
not use solvents, bleach or dye on the belt
as
these
chemicals
will weaken the webbing.
Re-
place the belt when it shows signs
off
raying, dam-
age
or
general
wear.
The
ROPS
must be maintained in a serviceable
condition.
A WARNING: Do not attach chains
or
.a
ropes
to
the
ROPS for pulling purposes
since the tractor may tip backwards. Always
pull
from the tractor drawbar. Be careful when
driving through door openings or under low
over-
head
objects. Make sure that there is sufficient
overhead clearance for the ROPS.
If
your tractor is fitted with a front end loader,
it
is
recommended that
a FOPS canopy
be
filled to
prµtect

Proof meter
The proofmcter indicates engine revolutions per
minute. Each division on
the
scale represents
100 rev/min., therefore with the needle indicating
'20'
the engine is running al
2000
rev/min.
The
P.T.0 symbol on the proofmctcr scale indi-
cates
the
engine speed
at
which the standard
P.T.O. speed
of
540 rev/min is obtained.
The proof meter also records the total number
of
hours that the tractor has operated,
ba"icd
on
an
av-
erage engine speed
of
2055 rev/min.
If
the
engine
is
run
al a speed lower than
2055
rev/min
then
the
proofmcler will accumulate hours
at
a rate slower
than
real
time.
Higher engine speeds will cause the proof meter
to
accumulate hours
at
a
rate
faster than
real
time.
The hours recorded should
be
used
as
a guide to
detcnninc hourly servicing intervals. (Sec Section
B
