The
seal ensures
an
airtight
fit
between the filter element
and
the
air cleaner
body.
Do
not fit a seal that is perished, tom or
otherwise damaged. Never omit
the seal
when
reassembling the air cleaner.

refill to

mark with fresh engine oil. Do
not
fill
above
the
level mark.
Position the filter
in
the bowl, ensuring
the
rubber
seal
is
correctly seated. Offer the
bowVfilter
as-
sembly
up
to the air cleaner body ensuring that the
tag on the
bowl
engages in the
cut--0ut
in
the
filter
body.
Secure with the four over-centre catches.

Wheel Nuts
Check
the
front
and
rear
wheel
nuts
for
tightness
using a torque wrench
and
torque multiplier,
where
necessary.
The
specified torque figures are given
below:

Check
and adjust the front
and
rear tire pressures
and
inspect the tread
and
side walls
for
damage.
Adjust
the
tyre pressures to suit the load being
car-
ried. See TIRE PRESSURES AND LOADS
in
SectionC.
NOTE:
If
the tires are ballasted with a calcium
chloride/water solution, a
special tire gauge
slwuld be used as the solution will corrode a pro-
prietary type gauge.
14. Clutch Pedal Free Play Adjustment
Check
clutch
free
play.
It should
be
1.1
-
1.6
in.

mm)
at the clutch pedal.
If
adjustment is
required, loosen
the
locknut, Figure
14,
remove
the split
pin
and
clevis
pin.
Tum the clevis to
lengthen or shorten
the
operating rod,
as
required.
Secure the clevis pin with a
new
split pin
and
tighten the locknut.
15. Fuel Filter/Sediment Separator
If
water or sediment
can
be
seen in the
glass
bowl
of
the
sediment separator, tum the drain plugs,
