Tip:
• Maximum character length of LPAR name is 31. And identical LPAR
name cannot set to 2 or more files.
• The 8th character is changed to tilde '~' and the higher characters are
omitted when the length of LPAR name is 9 or more.
• '0' ~ '9', 'A' ~ 'Z', 'a' ~ 'z', '-'and '_' can be used for LPAR name.
However only 'A' ~ 'Z' and 'a' ~ 'z' can be used for the initial
character.
• LPAR name using for discernment of LPARs. Set a unique name in the
LPAR manager system.
Configuration of Processor
Configure Scheduling Mode and details of Processors on Logical Partition
Configuration screen. (Contents on the screens depend on the version of
LPAR manager firmware)
Setting Scheduling Mode to Shared Mode
1. Move cursor onto ScD column of the target LPAR then press Enter key.
Select S (Sharing) of scheduling mode onto appeared sub-screen then
press Enter key.
