1. If the clutch does not operate pro-
perly due to its excessive play, or
periodically, adjust its play.
2. To adjust the free play, unscrew its
lock nut and adjust the clutch cable.
3. After setting the play properly, ti-
ghten the lock nut rmly.

(2) Rear Wheel Bolt/nut
Check wheel bolts and nuts regularly
especially when new. If they are loo-
se, tighten them as follows.
CAUTION
To avoid injury:
Never operate tractor with a
loose rim, wheel, or axle.
Any time bolts and nuts are
loosened, retighten to speci-
ed torque.
Check all bolts and nuts fre-
quently and keep them tight.
