9. Fully depress the clutch pedal.

(1) Clutch pedal

10. Turn the starter key to the “START” position and

release it when the engine starts.

IMPORTANT :

• Because of the safety devices, the engine

will not start except the following

conditions:

– PTO gear-shift lever is set in the “OFF”

position.

– Synchro-shuttle shift lever is set in the

“NEUTRAL” position.

11. Check to see that all the lamps on the Easy

Checker are “OFF.”

If the lamps on the Easy Checker is still on,

immediately stop the engine and determine the

cause.

12. Release the clutch pedal.

1. Make sure that the parking brake is set.

(See Setting the parking brake on page 39 if the

parking brake is not set)

(1) Brake pedal

(2) Parking brake lever

NOTE :

• The parking-brake indicator in the Easy

Checker comes on while the parking brake

is applied.

2. Make sure that the fuel shutoff-valve is in the

“OPEN” position.

(1) Fuel shutoff-valve (A) Close

(B) Open

3. Make sure that the cruise-control lever is in the

“OFF” position.

NOTE :

• Depress the both brake pedals together, and

the cruise-control lever automatically

returns to the “OFF” position.

  Your Kubota Tractor engine might be hard to start due to several reasons: a lack of fuel flow (check the fuel tank and filter, replacing the filter if needed), air or water in the fuel system (ensure fuel-line coupler bolts and nuts are tight and bleed the fuel system), increased oil viscosity in winter (use different viscosity oils or an engine-block heater), a weak battery (clean cables and terminals, charge the battery, and store it indoors in cold weather), or a preheat system issue (check the slow-blow fuse).

  If your Kubota Tractor engine overheats, it could be due to the engine being overloaded (shift to a lower gear or reduce the load), a low coolant level (fill the system and check for leaks), a loose or damaged fan belt (adjust or replace it), a dirty radiator (remove any trash), or a corroded coolant flow route (flush the cooling system).
