CVA 4062/CVA 4066/CVA 4068 Coffee Systems
Cause:
During water intake the water container has been emptied.
The top float in the water container has not switched within 5 minutes.
Remedy:
Confirm the fault message with OK.
3.20 "Replace Drip Tray" Message, Even Though Drip Tray Is Inserted
Cause:
The inserted drip tray or drip tray overflow is occasionally not detected.
The drip tray contact springs are dirty or covered with film (rinse aid from the
dishwasher).
The contacts in the machine are corroded.
The spring pressure of the contacts is insufficient.
Remedy:
Since machine no. 81479717, the material of the springs both in the machine and on
the drip tray has been modified in order to increase contact strength.
Replace the contact springs (mat. no. 06579920). Make sure that they are installed
correctly.
Replace the drip tray (mat. no. 6727550).
Cause:
Connectors for the contact springs are incorrectly installed.
Remedy:
Check the contact spring connectors.
3.21 "Empty Drip Tray" Message, Even Though Drip Tray Is Not Full
Cause:
The inserted drip tray or drip tray overflow is occasionally not detected.
The drip tray contact springs are dirty or covered with film (rinse aid from the
dishwasher).
The contacts in the machine are corroded.
The spring pressure of the contacts is insufficient.
Remedy:
Since machine no. 81479717, the material of the springs both in the machine
and on the drip tray has been modified in order to increase contact strength.
Replace the springs (mat. no. 06579920). Make sure that they are installed correctly.
Replace the drip tray (mat. no. 6727550).
Cause:
The connection wires to the contact springs for registering the presence of the drip tray
are interchanged.
Remedy:
Check the contact spring connection plugs.
Cause:
The base plate has filled with water. The drip tray contacts register "drip tray full."
Remedy:
1. Remove the appliance from its cabinet.
2. Remove the top cover.
3. Remove the service door.
4. Use the medicine dropper, mat. no. 08019263, to remove water from the appliance.
