5.10 Freeze
Freeze mode setting
The freeze mode (FIELD or FRAME) can be set by navigating through the menu
using the remote control switches or the keyboard (optional).
1. If the video monitor does not display the menu, press the remote control
switch for execution or for selection, the “F1”, “Enter”, “  ”, “  ”, “” or “”
key on the keyboard to display the menu.
2. Press the remote control switch for selection, the “” or “” key on the
keyboard and select “NEXT” (see Figure 5.6 on page 57).
3. Press the remote control switch for execution, the “Enter” or “  ” key on the
keyboard four times to display the menu bar shown in Figure 5.63.

F[ FL] : FIELD. This should be the freeze mode setting in the majority of
cases.
F[ FM] : FRAME. If the endoscopic image is relatively stable, an image
frozen in the “FRAME” mode will be clearer than one frozen in
the “FIELD” mode. If the endoscopic image is unstable, an
image frozen in the “FRAME” mode will be blurry.
