4.6 Inspection of the manual brightness adjustment
Always use the minimum light intensity level necessary to
prevent thermal injury to the patient, operator and/or
assistant caused by heat from the distal end of the
endoscope.
Refer to Section 5.6, “Brightness adjustment”. Confirm that the brightness can
be adjusted manually.
4.7 Inspection of the automatic brightness
adjustment
1. Refer to Section 5.6, “Brightness adjustment” to select the automatic
brightness adjustment.
2. Move the distal end of the endoscope between 1 and 3 cm from your palm.
Confirm that the brightness of the image on the video monitor remains
constant.
4.8 Inspection of the air/water feed (type B only)
Refer to Section 5.18, “Air/water feed (type B only)”, “Air/water feed”. Confirm
that air and water can be fed normally.
