5.4.1 Printer Prints:
ROM FAILURE
Read Only Memory (ROM) Failure.
Occurs if memory fails Cyclic
Redundancy Check (CRC) test. Prints
only in DIAGNOSTIC Cycle.
1. Program chips defective.
Replace chips.
2. Main control board failure.
Replace board.
5.4.2 Printer Prints:
RAM FAILURE
Random Access Memory (RAM)
Failure. Occurs if memory fails memory
tests. Prints only in DIAGNOSTIC
Cycle.
1. Main control board failure.
Replace board.
5.4.3 Printer Prints:
RTC FAILURE
Real Time Clock (RTC) Failure. Occurs if
microprocessor clock does not agree
with RTC within allotted time (five
minutes).
1. Re-enter date and time.
2. Defective smart battery.
Replace.
3. Main Control board
failure. Replace board.
5.4.4 Printer Prints:
TC1 FAILURE
Occurs if the inlet thermocouple reading
is greater than 75°C or less than 0°C in
DIAGNOSTIC Cycle.
1. Check TC1 for loose
connections or broken
wires.
2. Check analog cable
connections. (Refer to
Figure 5-5.)
3. Re-enter known good
calibration values.
4. Defective TC1. Replace.
5. Defective interface board.
Replace board.
5.4.5 Printer Prints:
TC2 FAILURE
Occurs if the outlet thermocouple
reading is greater than 75°C or less than
0°C in DIAGNOSTIC Cycle.
1. Check TC2 for loose
connections or broken
wires.
2. Check analog cable
connections. (Refer to
Figure 5-5.)
3. Re-enter known good
calibration values.
4. Defective TC2. Replace.
5. Defective interface board.
Replace board.
