FI SYSTEM AND INTAKE AIR SYSTEM 4-49
“C32”, “C33”, “C34” or “C35” FUEL INJECTION MALFUNCTION
DETECTED CONDITION POSSIBLE CAUSE
No injector current. • Injector circuit open or short.
• Injector malfunction.
• ECM malfunction.
INSPECTION
• Lift and support the fuel tank with its prop stay. ( 4-51)
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Check the injector coupler for loose or poor contacts.
If OK, then measure the injector resistance.
Disconnect the coupler and measure the resistance be-
tween terminals.
Injector resistance: 11 – 16

If OK, then check the continuity between each terminal
and ground.

Turn the ignition switch ON.
Measure the injector voltage between Y/R wire and
ground.
Injector voltage: Battery voltage
(Y/R – Ground)
NOTE:
Injector voltage can be detected only 3 seconds after ig-
nition switch is turned ON.

Yes
Gr/W, Gr/B, Gr/Y, Gr/R or Y/R wire open or shorted to ground,
or poor 4, 5, 6, 7 or b connection. ( 4-25)
If wire and connection are OK, intermittent trouble or faulty ECM.
Recheck each terminal and wire harness for open circuit and
poor connection. ( 4-4)
Replace the ECM with a new one,
and inspect it again.
