Front Brakes: 4B-6
Apply the brake fluid to piston seal (1) and dust seal
(2).
CAUTION
!
Replace the piston seals (1) and dust seals
(2) with new ones.
BF: Brake fluid (DOT 4)
Install the piston seals as shown in the figure.
Apply thread lock to the pin bolt (3).
: Thread lock cement 99000–32030
(THREAD LOCK CEMENT SUPER 1303 or
equivalent)
Tighten the pin bolt (3) to the specified torque.
Tightening torque
Caliper housing slide pin (a): 23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m,
16.5 lb-ft)
Apply grease to the two pins.
: Grease 99000–25100 (SUZUKI SILICONE
GREASE or equivalent)
Install the brake caliper holder (4) to the brake caliper.
Install the brake pads. Refer to “Front Brake Pad
Replacement (Page 4B-2)”.
Install the brake caliper and brake hose. Refer to
“Front Brake Caliper Removal and Installation
(Page 4B-3)” and “Front Brake Hose Routing Diagram
in Section 4A (Page 4A-1)”.
