2C-7 Rear Suspension:
• Tighten the cushion lever and cushion rod nuts to the
specified torque.
Tightening torque
Rear cushion rod nut (c): 110 N·m (11.0 kgf-m,
79.5 lb-ft)
Rear cushion lever upper nut (d): 132 N·m (13.2
kgf-m, 95.5 lb-ft)
Rear cushion lever lower nut (e): 132 N·m (13.2
kgf-m, 95.5 lb-ft)
• Install the rear shock absorber. Refer to “Rear Shock
Absorber Removal and Installation (Page 2C-3)”.

Cushion Lever
Spacer
1) Remove the spacers from the cushion lever.
2) Inspect the spacers for any flaws or other damage. If
any defects are found, replace the spacers with new
ones.
Cushion lever bearing
1) Insert the spacers into bearings.
2) Check the play by moving the spacers up and down.
If excessive play is noted, replace the bearing with a
new one. Refer to “Cushion Lever / Cushion Rod
Bearing Removal and Installation (Page 2C-8)”.
