Customizing the Default Channel Profile
The Edit Channel Profile dialog box lets you customize the default channel
profile to suit your system. Some items display ‘See channel table.’ You
configure them in the channel table
so that you can give different channels
different values.
To customize the default channel profile
1. Select Configure > Base Station > General.
2. In the Default profiles area, click Channel Profile. The Edit Channel
Profile form appears.
Note: If the base station is part of a TaitNet MPT 1327 trunked
system, see TN-745-AN for instructions on how to configure
channels and profiles.
3. In the General tab, define the following:
a. The subaudible deviation if the base station will transmit with CTCSS
or DCS.
b. The talk-through repeater gain if the base station will be used as a
repeater.
c. If desired, a special transmitter power output level, for selection by Task
Manager action.
d.
4. In the Receiver Gating tab, set the criteria for receiver gating (see
“Configuring Receiver Gating” on page 106)
