102 Part F: Configuring Channels © Tait Electronics Limited December 2007
Customizing the Default Signalling Profile
The Edit Signalling Profile dialog box lets you modify the default signalling
profile to suit your system. Some items display ‘See channel table.’ You
configure them in the channel table
so that you can give different channels
different values.
To customize the default signalling profile
1. Select Configure > Base Station > General.
2. In the Default profiles area, click Signal Profile. The Edit Signalling Profile
form appears.
3. Select the Subaudible filter check box if you want to filter subaudible
signalling out of the audio sent to line. (This is only needed if the channel
table does not specify a subaudible tone or code. It only has an effect if the
channel table selects one of the speech filters.)
Nothing else in the Subaudible Signalling tab can be configured. Subaudible
signalling is defined for each channel in the channel table. The tone table is
only available for custom profiles.
4. In the Tx Timers tab, configure the way the audio, signalling, and carrier
end at the end of a transmission. You can also enable transmit lockout and
anti-kerchunking
.
5. In the Advanced tab, check that the settings for CTCSS
gating are suitable.
6. Click OK to confirm your changes and return to the General form.
