Kickstarter. This is behind the right hand footrest.
All models have the
ft
pedal type with the exception of the TR5; this model
has
the folding pedal type.

ADJUSTMENT OF CONTROLS
AND
RIDING POSITION
When first taking over the machine, the rider should re-adjust the various controls
to suit his own individual requirements.

Footrests.
The left footrest
is
located by two pegs and may be placed in three
different positions.
The right footrest is mounted on a taper, on the rigid frame
models, and may be placed in any desired position. The right footrest is non-
adjustable on the swinging arm frame models.
After adjustment ensure that the
nuts are tightened securely.

Gearchange Lever.
This is fitted
to
a serrated shaft. To re-position, slacken off
the set-screw and ease the lever off the serrarions. Replace in a convenient position
!;
and tighten up the set-screw.
Footbrake Pedal. This pedal is adjustable on the Rigid Frame Models simply by
adjusting the stop screw which
is
located on the brake pedal spindle lug.
After
making an adjustment,
it
may be necessary to re-adjust the rear brake (see page 108).
Handlebars.
Adjustment is made by slackening off the four
"U"
bolt nuts and
turning the handlebar to the desired position.
The TR5 handlebar is clipped
to
the top lug by four set-screws and by releasing these the handlebar can be adjusted
in a similar manner. Ensure that either set-screws or nuts are securely tightened to

avoid handlebar slip.
Control Levers.
If the clamping screws which secure the lever assemblies to the
handlebar are slackened, the control can be moved to suit the rider's preference.
(Air lever positioned on rear frame back stays below the saddle on Models ST. TI00
a
T110).
Twinseat.
This item cannot be adjusted for height, but has been
:o
designed to
suit the average rider.
When placing
a
machine with Swinging Arm rear springing on the prop stand, pull
the rear of the machine upwards. If this
is
not done the rear suspension units will
eventually extend against the damping and the movement may cause the machine to
fall over.
CONTROL CABLES
ADJUSTMENT POSITIONS
Throttle Cable (ST,
TlW, TRS
&
T110).
The adjuster
is
located in the cable,
approximately 12" from the twistgrip.

6T. Here the adjustment is made on the right side of the
S.U.
carburetter.
