Piston Rings
When replzcing the piston rings on the models 5T and bT, note that the second
compression ring has tapered sides and must be fitted in the middle piston ring
groove. The face with (TOP) etched on
it
must be towards the piston crown.
The models TIM), TI10 and TR5 are fitted with a chrome taper ring in the top p~sron
ring groove. This ring may be identified by
its
bright chrome appearance and should
also be fitted with the etched word (TOP) towards the crown, but in the top ring
groove.
