Theory of Operation
Fusing
In the fusing process, toner is fixed onto the print medium by heat and pressure.
The toner particles are melted by the heat roller heated by the heat lamp, and
fused onto the print medium by the pressure between the heat roller and the
belt assembly.
The belt assembly, friction-driven by the heat roller, nips the print media
against the heat roller using the pressurizing mechanism it contains.
