5. Physical installation
5.1 Positioning the DP2K-E s eries projector at port window
WARNING: The installation of the DP2K-E series projector requires at least 4 adult persons.
General guidelines
• Use a solid pedes tal to mount the DP2K- E series projector on to. Ensure that the pedes tal can support t
he weight of the
projector an d that all feet of the projector are captured.
• The pedestal should b e p laced in front of the po rt window wall in a m anner suc h that the projector lens is at a minimum distance
of 20 centimeters from the port window.

Barco offers a pedestal for the DP 2K-E series projector. This un iversal ped estal allows for a solid and easy
setup of the projector. The universal p edestal support 19” rack systems. (projector p eripherals such as alter-
native content sw itchers, ShowVault, etc.)

Projector centering
1. If the projector is standalone in front of the port window, center the projector with the theatre screen (A).
2. If an analog film projector is already present (projector will be off-center), try to op timize aim (B).
Note: Unlike analog film projectors, it is best to k eep the projector lens s urface as p arallel as possible to the screen, even if it
is significantly above the sc reen center.
Caution: The front foot has an adjus tment range of maximum 70mm . The back feet maximum 125m m.
