6.4.7 Circuit Type/Insert Mismatch Alarm

Circ/Insert Mismatch
Alarm condition
A Circuit Type/Insert Mismatch alarm will be given when the
ventilator detects an incorrect combination of the selected
patient circuit type setting and the insert attached to the
ventilator.
Possible cause The ventilator is set to one of the following incorrect
combinations:
• Patient circuit type: Dual limb circuit / Single limb insert
• Patient circuit type: Exhalation valve (single limb) circuit /
Dual limb insert
Priority
Medium
Ventilator action The ventilator will continue treatment with the same settings.
Reset
Connection of “higher” power source.

Alarm condition
A Patient Mode/Insert Mismatch alarm will be given when the
ventilator detects an incorrect combination of the selected
patient mode setting and the insert attached to the ventilator.
Possible cause The ventilator is set to one of the following incorrect
combinations:
• Adult mode / Dual limb insert Paediatric
• Paediatric mode / Dual limb insert Adult
Priority
Medium
Ventilator action The ventilator will continue treatment with the same settings.
