10.3.2 Changing the valve cartridges, V3 type
When changing the V3 valve cartridges, be sure to insert them in the correct
position. During installation, the small O-ring (3) must be installed facing
downwards (towards the pump head).
The lower valve cartridge is installed without O-rings. However
, the position
also corresponds to that of the upper cartridge here.
Consequently, the groove into which the large O-ring (2) would fit must point in
the direction of the pump head.
1. O-Ring ø 7 x 1,5
2. Upper V
alve cartridge V3
3. O-Ring ø 2,5 x 1,5
4. Lower Valve cartridge V3

10.4 Replacing the pump head and diaphragm
CAUTION!
Diaphragm:
–
Before changing the diaphragm, it is essential to change the pump to
servicing mode.
Ä
Chapter 10.1 ‘Maintenance mode - Service position of
the pump - [pump service.]’ on page 162
– Only tighten diaphragms
by hand and without using a tool!
Pump head:
– T
ightening torque for metering head screws = 3 - 4 Nm.
– Check the torque after 24 hours!
The service life of the diaphragm depends on the following:
– back pressure
– operating temperature
– and metering medium
W
e recommend that you check the diaphragm more frequently in extreme
operating conditions and if metering abrasive substances.
