6 Changing the Machine Settings

[Network Accounting]
Use user information currently managed by an external service for accounting. Register user information from the
external service.

For details, see "Types of Accounting Administration methods" (P.158).
 [Accounting Mode]
Configure whether to use accounting for each service.
Note

If a service is configured to [Enable Accounting], appears next to the corresponding service on the Home screen. The
icon disappears after authentication.

Jobs may be canceled by the settings of "[Charge / Private Print Settings]" (P.140).
 [Verify User Details]
Configure whether to reference any entered information.

[Customize User Prompts]
Configure items to be entered by the user for verification.
[Accounting Login Screen Settings]
 [Alternative Name for User ID]
“User ID” is displayed at the authentication screen that is displayed when the display area of the authentication
information on the touch panel display is tapped. This can be changed to “User Name”, “Number”, or another
description.

[Mask User ID (***)]
Configure the display method of text when a user ID was entered.

[Alternative Name for Account ID]
“Account ID” is displayed at the authentication screen that is displayed when the display area of the authentication
information on the touch panel display is tapped. This can be changed to “Account Name”, “Number”, or another
description.
Note

This item is displayed when "[Accounting Type]" (P.135) is configured to [Network Accounting].
 [Mask Account ID (***)]
The display method of text when a user ID was entered can be configured.
Note

This item is displayed when "[Accounting Type]" (P.135) is configured to [Network Accounting].
 [Display Billing Information Upon Login]
Configure whether to display accounting information by individual users just after authentication. If the checkbox is
selected, the following information about the currently authenticated user can be checked: [Total Impressions],
[Account Limit], and [Balance].
Note

This item appears when [Login Type] is configured to[Log In to Local Accounts], and [Accounting Type] is configured to
[Local Accounting].

Use-restricted functions are not displayed.

This item is not displayed when a machine administrator was authenticated.
[Accounting / Billing Device Settings]
You can configure the accounting or billing device settings.
