Connecting and Setting Up Your Printer
To connect your printer to a computer or device, the following specification must be
met for each of the connection type:
To connect the printer properly and use safely, ensure that there is sufficient clearance
on all sides of the printer, as shown below.
Connecting to a Computer or a Network
Before making connections, be sure to turn off the printer.
Connecting to a Computer Using the USB Cable (Direct Connection)
When you use the printer as a local printer, connect the printer to your computer using
the USB cable. If you connect your printer to a network instead of your computer, skip
this section and go to "Connecting to a Network Using the Ethernet Cable" (P.23).
