350 Time Protocols
NOTE
NOTE:
Time protocols are available for the 350 relay only.
350 IEC 1588 Precision Time Protocol (PTP)
The 350 relay supports PTP V2 protocol. The present values of the PTP protocol are
displayed here.
PATH: Actual Values > A1 Status
The RTC Sync Source actual value is the time synchronizing source the relay is using at
present. Possible sources are: PTP Clock, IRIG-B, SNTP and Internal.
PATH: Actual Values > A1 Status > PTP
Grandmaster ID: GRAND MAS HI + GRAND MAS LO is the grandmaster Identity code
being received from the present PTP grandmaster, if any. When the relay is not using any
PTP grandmaster, this actual value is zero. The grandmaster Identity code is specified by
PTP to be globally unique, so one can always know which clock is grandmaster in system
with multiple grandmaster-capable clocks.
