ADTS TOUCH-ER (Extended Range) Bluetooth®
On large aircraft, particularly if situated out in the open away from buildings or other reflective
surfaces, Bluetooth® link performance can be impaired. The ADTS TOUCH-ER has been devel-
oped for these instances.
This unit is the same as the standard ADTS TOUCH in every way with the exception of the Blue-
tooth® antenna, which is provided as a removable antenna connected to an external RF
connector on the base of the unit.

The ADTS TOUCH-ER is provided with both a standard external antenna, and also an antenna
extension kit, which enables the antenna to be mounted directly on the inside of the cockpit
window using a suction cup assembly, and then connected to the RF connector on the body of
the ADTS TOUCH-ER using a cable. Both options allow the operator to move freely around the
cockpit, and the most appropriate option should be chosen by the operator at time of testing on
the day and aircraft concerned.
