7-52 Section 7-7 - Hardware Tests
7-7-3-6-5 DC4D Interface
It verifies I2C path names I2C_DC4D by using EEPROM on DC4D board and displays the test result
as PASSED/FAILED.
7-7-3-6-6 15W protection
It verifies current measurement value which is restriction for 15 watt on DPS.
7-7-3-7 OPIO Overall Test
This diagnostic test performs the self-diagnosis of each electric component and interface on OPIO
board.
Table 7-10 below outlines Voluson™ P8/Voluson™P6 Diagnostics Tool described in the sub-sections.
7-7-3-7-1 VPD(OPIO) Test
It verifies VPD Information embedded in EEPROM on OPIO board, and displays the part of VPD
information and the test result as PASSED/FAILED.
NOTE: This VPD information is set by Manufacturer since Mizar BT12. In case of Mizar BT11 OPIO, this
information could be empty. In that case, the test result as PASSED with blank information.
7-7-3-8 Battery
This diagnostic test performs the self-diagnosis of battery and battery control board status.
Table 7-11 below outlines Voluson™ P8/Voluson™P6 Diagnostics Tool described in the sub-sections.
7-7-3-8-1 Battery Interface
It veriftes whether installed Battery and verifies I2C path by using EEPROM on Battery Pack and
the test result as PASSED/FAILED.
7-7-3-8-2 Battery Status
It verifies Battery Status(Temperature, Voltage, Full charge Capacity, Cycle count), the result
means if battery is healthy.
7-7-3-8-3 Battery Discharging to Shipment Level
During a test of charging and discharging a battery, the test will demad 15% or higher amount of
remaining battery. In case of shipment by airplane, make sure that the battery has less than 30%
of remaining battery. By running Battery Discharging to shipment level item in diagnostics menu,
the product will discharge until below 30%.
