Boom Adjustment Order
Carry out adjustments in the following order:
1. Trapeze suspension and centre section.
2. Inner wing.
3. Outer wing(s).
4. Breakaway.
Boom Lift Adjustment
If slack occurs, there is too much space between the glide shoe (B) and
the sprayer steel frame, the glide shoes (B) should be adjusted. Extra
shims (C) should be mounted in between the glide shoe (B) and the
boom lift.
If the glide shoes (B) are worn, they should be replaced.
1. Securely support the boom with axle stands.
2. Depending on sprayer equipment, remove any electric boxes,
hoses, wires, etc. that runs from the sprayer to the boom.
3. Loosen the 4 upper bolts and 4 lower bolts that attach the boom
to the boom lift. Bolts are hidden on the picture.
4. With a crane, lift out the boom lift from the sprayer steel frame.
5. Replace glide shoe parts (B) as needed and fit shims as necessary.
6. Each glide arrangement should be adjusted, until the same
clearance has been obtained at all 4 gliding points on the boom
lift.
Fitting of shims is trial and error, by lifting the boom lift in/out of the frame while checking the clearance.
μ
ATTENTION! It is very important that the boom lift does not run unequally in the sprayer steel frame. It is important
that there is no play in any of the glide shoes.
