Manoeuvring of the Spray Boom
Applicable for HC 5500
The switches on the hydraulic control box controls the following functions:
1. Power ON/OFF.
2. Not active.
3. Boom unfold/fold left.
4. Boom lift, raise/lower.
5. Boom unfold/fold right.
6. Boom slant.
7. Not active.
8. Not active.
9. Optional function.
10. Optional function (used for steering, if the sprayer is manually steered).

ATTENTION! The boom can not be operated with the tractors hydraulic levers.

WARNING! The folding functions must only be operated when the sprayer is stationary on level ground! Failure to
comply will damage the boom.

WARNING! Remove any safety chains for transport, and ensure that the boom is raised clear of the transport brackets
before unfolding.
Unfolding the Boom
1. Versions without slant: Check if the lock bolt is fitted.
2. Push switch (4) upwards to raise the boom, until it is clear of the transport brackets.
3. Unfold boom wings by pressing switches (3) and (5) downwards.
4. Push switch (6) to correct slant angle.
5. Push switch (4) downwards to lower boom to desired working height.
6. Versions without slant: Remove the lock bolt.

ATTENTION! If the boom is not symmetrically unfolded (e.g. when using alternative boom widths), the trapeze must
be locked during driving. Failure to comply will damage the boom!
Folding the Boom
1. Depending on version:
• With slant: Set neutral slant angle.
• Without slant: Fit the lock bolt.
2. Push switch (4) upwards to raise boom to folding height.
3. Fold the boom wings by pressing switches (3) and (5) upwards.
4. Push switch (4) downwards to lower the boom, until it rest in the transport brackets.
