To activate:

Rotate the switch in the direction
of the arrow shown on the door.
To open a door when the child
security rear door lock is activated:
.
Open the door from the outside.

Tailgate

Danger
It can be very dangerous to drive
with the tailgate open. Carbon
monoxide (CO) gas can enter the
vehicle. You cannot see or smell
CO. It can cause
unconsciousness and even death.
If you must drive with the tailgate
open, make sure all other
windows are closed and switch
the fan on to the highest speed
using any setting that brings in
outside air. Doing this will force
outside air into the vehicle.
Caution
Before opening the tailgate, check
the area above and behind for
obstructions, to avoid damage to
the tailgate.
Note
Adding heavy accessories to the
tailgate may affect its ability to
remain open.
Opening
1. Push the touchpad button on
the tailgate.
2. Pull the handle upwards
to open.
Note
If the tailgate is open when the
ignition is turned on, a message is
displayed in the DIC and a chime
sounds.
