Check for worn swingarm bearings by grabbing the
rear wheel and attempting to move the wheel side
to side.
Replace the bearings if any looseness is noted (page
16-18).
Hold the swingarm and move the rear wheel side-
ways with force to see if the axle bearings are worn.

REAR SUSPENSION ADJUSTMENT
SPRING PRE-LOAD ADJUSTER
Sprmg pre-load can be adjusted by turning the
adjuster dial.
TURN CLOCKWISE:
Increase the spring pre-load (High)
N COUmTtRCLO~St:
Decrease the spring pre-load (Low)
PRE-LOAD ADJUSTER STANDARD POSITION:
8 clicks out from lower position
NUTS, BOLTS, FASTENERS
Check that all chassis nuts and bolts are tightened to
their correct torque values (page 1-13).
Check that all cotter pins, safety clips, hose clamps
and cable stays are in place and properly secured.

Hold the front fork leg and move the front wheel
sideways forcefully to see if the wheel bearings are
worn.
