SYSTEM
INSPECTION
This model is equipped with a Combined Brake Sys-
tem.
Check the front and rear brake operation as follows:
-
Jack-up the motorcycle to raise the front wheel
off the ground.
Apply the rear brake pedal.
Make sure the front wheel does not turn while the
rear brake pedal is applied.
Firmly apply the brake lever or pedal, and check that
no air has entered the system.
If the lever or pedal feels soft or spongy when oper-
ated, bleed the air from the system.
Inspect the brake hose and fittings for deterioration,
cracks, damage or signs of leakage.
Tighten any loose fittings.
Replace the hose and fittings as required.
