To prevent damage when towing:
• Do not lift using the trailer hitch or body
and chassis parts.
• Do not tow the vehicle with the front
wheels on the ground.

• Do not tow vehicles with sling-type
equipment. Only use wheel lift or
flatbed equipment.

When towing your vehicle without wheel
dollies:
1. Release the parking brake before
turning off the engine.
2. Press the Engine Start/Stop button to
the OFF position.
3. Change the gear to N (Neutral) while
depressing the brake pedal.
4. Press the Engine Start/Stop button to
the ACC position.
If your vehicle is equipped with a rollover
sensor, Press the Engine Start/Stop
button to the OFF or ACC position when
the vehicle is being towed. The side
impact and curtain airbag may deploy if
the sensor detects the situation as a
rollover.
Always shift the gear to N (Neutral) to
prevent damage to the transmission
before towing.

(1) Install
(2) Remove
1. Open the liftgate and remove the
towing hook from the tool case.
2. Remove the hole cover pressing the
lower part of the cover on the bumper.
3. Install the towing hook by turning it
clockwise into the hole until it is fully
secured.
4. Remove the towing hook and install the
cover after use.
