Safety Guidelines 2
Overview
This chapter describes safety guidelines for the QuickStick
®
HT components and their use in
a transport system. All personnel that are involved in the installation, operation, or mainte-
nance of the QSHT components and the transport system must be familiar with the safety pre-
cautions that are outlined in this chapter.
NOTE: These safety recommendations are basic guidelines. If the facility where the Quick-
Stick HT components are installed has additional safety guidelines, they must be fol-
lowed as well, along with the applicable local and national safety codes.
If any additional safety-related upgrades or newly identified hazards that are associated with
the QuickStick HT components are identified, the ICT Customer Support group notifies the
owner of record.
Included in this chapter are:
• Regulatory compliance information.
• Personnel and equipment safety guidelines.
• Symbol identification.
• Label identification and locations.
• Identification of mechanical, electrical, and magnetic hazards.
• Recycling and disposal Information.
