FUEL VALVE
REMOVAL AND INSPECTION
• Remove the fuel tank. (c::::7' 4-2)
• Drain the fuel completely.
• Remove the fuel valve.
A WARNING
* Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive .
Keep heat,
sparks , and flames away from gasoline .
* Replace the removed O-ring with a new one to pre-
vent fuel leakage.
• Tighten the fuel va lve mounting bolts to t he specified torque.
C!) Fuel valve mounting bolt : 4.4 N·m (0.44 kgf-m , 3.2 Ib-ft)
FUEL STRAINER
II me luel s tr ainer Is dirty with sediment or rust, fuel wi ll not fl ow
smoothly and loss in engine power may resu lt. Clean the fuel
strainer with compressed
air.
REMOUNTING
Remount the fuel valve in the reverse order of removal.
